On April 28, 2023, Rigorer Sports marked a significant milestone by signing a contract with Lakers guard Austin Reaves, signaling their intention to make a splash in the international sports market with the release of the Rigorer AR1, Austin Reaves' first personal signature shoe.

Reaves, who hails from Arkansas, played college basketball for Wichita State Shock and Oklahoma Clippers before his leap to the professional scene with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he signed a notable four-year contract extension. His journey with Rigorer began in 2014 during the NBA regular season and playoffs, wearing the brand that was founded by former CBA player Lin Chenyao.

The design of the AR1 is inspired by the silkworm cocoon, a metaphor for Reaves' basketball career growth, breaking free from constraints, and pushing beyond limits with faith and hope.
