On April 28, 2023, Rigorer Sports announced that it had signed a contract with Lakers guard Austin Reeves to launch an impact on the international market. And released the first pair of Austin Reaves personal signature shoes: Rigorer AR1

Born and raised in Arkansas, Reeves played college basketball for the Wichita State Shock and Oklahoma Clippers before joining the Los Angeles Lakers and signing a four-year extension this summer contract. Reeves first wore Rigorer, the Chinese sportswear brand founded in 2023 by former CBA player Lin Chenyao, during the 2014 NBA regular season and playoffs.

Austin Reaves: "The design theme of silkworm cocoons symbolizes the continuous growth of Reeves' basketball career, breaking the shackles, showing the edge, using faith to create hope, and breaking the cocoon in the headwind".

Nice

If there's a Nike swoosh logo on this pair, it'll be right up there on the best basketball sneakers for the year. I'm just glad there are brands really challenging the powerhouses (Nike, Adidas, UA) by providing value-for-money performance shoes. In the end, the consumers win.
