So everything went down super smooth. Email communication, finding the right size and shipping (time). No hidden custom fees or so, which has been nothing but pleasant. As many are unsure about the sizing: I ordered the same size I have in Nike MetCons and Romaleos 4s. So happy they added the half sizes. Went with 42.5 EU, matching exactly the labels inside my Nikes and was fine. Really snug but not painful. The Lu's are getting a little roomier within the first 1-2 sessions so don't panic. The non-competition sole adds a little more room, too if you need to tweak a little. Overall super happy and probably ordering them again in the future if mine are giving up 👍🏻
I'll be honest, bought these based on being a huge fan of Luxiaojun and Chinese lifting techniques in general. And the shoes are gorgeous and well made
Will different modern lifters make or break your lifts physically? In most cases no these days. Shoes have gotten VERY GOOD. though looking and feeling good has its merit with lifts as well!
Personally the heel height is perfect. Coming from Adidas leistung so used to a 25mm heel. They are very stiff, which has been tough for my split jerks so I hope they break in a bit.
Sizing surprisingly was true to size for me. I wear a US10 and these were bang on.
Incredibly happy with my purchase and will continue lifting in them!
I have been using this pair of Lu Xiaojun for the past 6 months for olympic lifting and honestly I'm glad I made this purchase. I could definitely feel the difference in terms of squating lower when doing front and overhead squats due to the elevated heel. I also feel more grounded and stabilized when in catching positions.
