I purchased the Wade 808 5 Ultra “Stingray” and initially I was very impressed. The fit was excellent, the shoe felt comfortable and responsive, and overall the quality seemed premium on first impression.
Unfortunately, after very limited use (only 5 indoor sessions on wooden court), the sole of the right shoe tore under the big toe during normal play. This was extremely disappointing, especially for a shoe in this price range that is clearly marketed for performance sports use.
The shoe shows minimal signs of wear otherwise, so this does not appear to be misuse, but rather a material or manufacturing defect. As a result, the shoe is no longer playable.
As a result of this, I just cannot recommend buying this shoe.
